Cisco phones work pretty well, but every once in a while, they have a rough day. Here are some tips to help you through some of the most common Cisco phone issues.
If you do not hear a dial tone when you pick up your handset or cannot make calls, it could be for any of the following reasons.
You must log into the Extension Mobility Service.
You must enter a code after dialing the number of the party you are attempting to reach.
Your phone is set to only be used at certain times of the day.
If your phone screen will not light up, it means that it has gone into sleep mode to save power during prolonged inactivity. Press any button or lift the phone handset to make it “wake up” and light the screen.
If your phone does not wake up, the screen illumination feature may be disabled. Contact your system administrator to re-enable it.
